Fernando Alonso has already arrived in Melbourne waiting for the 2012 season traffic light to turn green.
The first thing that Fernando did when he arrived in the city hosting the first championship event, was to relax after the long journey doing some footing with his physical trainer.
“I arrived in Melbourne last night. It is the longest trip of the year, and the first objective is to overcome jet lag as soon as possible, as there is a difference of no less than ten hours between Oviedo and here. I always like coming to this city. The atmosphere is very special, and there is a certain sensation of easing off you normally don’t see in other parts of the world. The Australians seem to have found the recipe for the good life. Of course, they have problems like the rest of us, and the truth is that it is difficult for us to judge on this respect after a 10 day visit once a year, but it is the impression I have. I cannot wait for this first race weekend to start.”
